When did you stop beating your wife?

No, it’s not a spoof, just one in a series of public information ads running in our paper.
Ironically, only last week at our training I introduced the famous ‘When did you stop beating your wife?’ question in a session about how to handle difficult interviewees.
Perhaps I’m cleverer than I thought. Then again…

  1. And how would you advise answering that question?

So glad i was not the only one that thought this series of ads was priceless. I was very tempted to put up a similar one on my office door in response: "do not shoot your husband when he beats you: it's against the law", but as you found with the newsroom poll on the condom article, you can't always count on a sense of humour in a trini workplace.

  3. I was glad to hear from you that such thing are happening there rtps
